You need a boat to log this cache! (or a trip on the Cross Sound Ferry)...

Need a close up picture of the lighthouse. YOU NEED A BOAT, can't get a picture from anyplace you can get to by car... that's why we made the difficulty/terrain rating a 1/5... you can include GPS in picture, but not required.

Any logs without an accompanying picture will be rejected. SO REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAMERA! DO NOT GET TOO CLOSE, as there are a couple of submerged rocks in the area! A picture from 300-1000 yards is acceptable!

One way to log this cache is to get a picture from the Cross Sound Ferry between Orient Pt. & New London, Ct.
We will accept a pix from the ferry... but you'll need a fairly clear day to see it...

And PLEASE be wary of weather conditions! It can get nasty in this area at times! Plum Gut especially! (a rowboat with a 5hp engine is definately NOT reccommended! and seriously discouraged...) The weather here can change dramaticaly, and very quickly! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!

If the legendary FOG here settles in...
STAY WELL CLEAR OF THE FERRY LANES & HOIST A RADAR DEFLECTOR!!!

If you have never been there before, it is a beautiful lighthouse! and easily reachable from New London Ct. area, Fishers Island or Eastern LI...

ElbaPatch and I enjoyed our ride on the waves. I probably did more than he, as he isn't crazy about boat rides. Thanks for the cache.

I really don't care for boats but this is the second time this year I have been out on one. Sending the picture as required for the find here. Thanks for the experience.
