Porttikoski rapids are located somewhat 20 km south of Sodankylä, near the highway 4. The waterflow is restricted. The rapids are at their best in summertime between the 15th of June and the 15th of August on sundays and on wednesdays. At these times, water is allowed to flow freely.
The cache itself is a plastic container and it is not easily reachable in wintertime. When searching for the cache, don't mind the fence, you can go around it.
Initially the cache contains:
- small teddybear
- knife/multitool
- a problem-toy (a toy testing your solving skills)
and naturally:
- logbook
- pen & sharpener
- geonotification
Porttikoski sijaitsee noin 20 km Sodankylästä etelään lähellä valtatie nelosta. Veden virtausta koskessa rajoitetaan. Koski on parhaimmillaan kesäisin 15.6 - 15.8 välisenä aikana sunnuntaisin ja keskiviikkoisin. Näinä aikoina veden annetaan virrata koskessa vapaasti.
Itse kätkö on muovirasia, jonka löytäminen talvella on vaikeaa. Kun etsit kätköä, älä välitä aidasta, koska sen voi kiertää.
