How Geocaching Works
For now until I get this replaced, anyone posting a pic of the tree stump it was in will get credit for finding it. I will try to replace this 5-7-2013. But it will likely get stolen again.
*UPDATE* 5/25/2012 - Tried to convert to a virtual cache as it keeps getting stolen but geocache says no, this cache is missing & I will need to replace it. This cache was stolen a couple times, unless it was hidden in another place.
Good luck! If you attempt to enter this area from the west 4wd is a must. The east is slightly easier. A walk from the road is the easiest. If it is a rainy day, or has been recently the road may be undrivable. It will be obvious where it is once you are there. Take water! go slow. It will be easier to get to from the SW side, but is walkable from the road if you do not have 4wd.
This is the first MADCityXOC cache to be placed. 5 people and 2 dogs placed it, dogs threw-up twice each from the heat and the location. It was a very hot humid day. Just southwest of here is Warrens, WI. Stop by and visit the Cranberry Museum. Go slow. This is harder than Saddle Mound.
**UPDATE! I just tried this this winter. The ground was frozen solid (thin mud layer on solid granite) making it very very slippery. I would suggest hard rubber lugged shoes. A fall would be catastrophic. I also saw large cat tracks, as in cougar, NOT BOBCAT, they covered most of my shoe, I wear an 11 boot. They were NOT bear. This is a big active cat and has been patrolling this area indicated by the tracks in the snow recently, 02-14-05. Again the cache was moved clues are encoded below, least obvious to most obvious.***
