Für Kinder könnte es etwas langwierig und anstrengend sein.
Allgemeines
Es ist ein "kleiner" Fußmarsch. Und man sollte etwas mehr als eine gute halbe Stunde für den Weg
vom Parkplatz bis zum Cache einplanen. Dazu kommt dann noch die eigentliche Suche.
Solltest du vor haben das ganze nachts zu machen, bedenke, daß dort nach Sonnenuntergang
die Temperaturen auch im Sommer schlagartig unter 5°C fallen können.
Start
Das ganze befindet sich in Oberried bei Kirchzarten und zwar im Ortsteil St. Wilhelm.
Dort fahrt Ihr durch das ganze Dorf durch (ja es ist sehr lang!), bis es nicht mehr weitergeht.
Am Parkplatz "Napf" mit einer Informationstafel und der nahegelegenen
Gaststätte "Zur Linde" (Ruhetag Di+Mi) könnt Ihr starten:

Intro
Man darf sich nun von der Entfernungsangabe des GPS nicht täuschen lassen.
Du kannst auf den ausgewiesenen Wegen bleiben, bis Du Dich dem Cache
auf etwa 18 Meter genähert hast. Damit kann man bei sehr, sehr guter Kondition
diesen Cache auch mit dem Fahrrad machen.
Cache
Wenn du in die Nähe des Cache kommst, hast du plötzlich eine
wunderschöne Aussicht auf ein schwarzwälder Tal mit Bauernhof und
Idyllfaktor und allem. Das Versteck selbst befindet sich bei den Hinkelsteinen,
die sogar im Sommer schon vom Weg aus zu sehen sind.
Minimal anspruchsvoll wird es nun dort hinzukommen. Es empfiehlt sich
wegen des Gestrüpps eine lange Hose und ein langärmliges T-Shirt dabei zu haben.
Jetzt haben wir gerade Trockenheit hier in der Gegend und somit kann man
den Bach a) leicht überqueren und b) gar nicht sehen.
Aber matschig isses trotzdem. Später im Jahr kann es schwieriger werden,
hier drüber zu kommenm, ohne nass zu werden.
Leider ist da oben der GPS-Emfang in der Regel nicht sehr gut. Daher diese detaillierte Beschreibung.
Ich hoffe es ist nicht zu einfach.
Bei dem Behälter handelt es sich um eine Lock & Lock von ca. 7 x 10 x 6 cm³.
Hier passen nur Kleinigkeiten rein!
Einwohner
Unter einem der Steine lebt eine grosse fette Unke, die wir Gundula getauft haben.
Bitte zerstört nicht dieses Biotop, das ihr Zuhause ist.
Rückweg
Wenn du eine gute Karte von der Gegend hast und etwas mehr Zeit, dann empfehle ich,
über den oberen Wittenbachweg via Riesenhalde zurückzukehren.
Und dabei kann man auch einen Abstecher über den Feldberg machen. :-)
Ohne Karte empfehle ich dringend, den gleichen Weg zurück zu nehmen,
den Du auch gekommen bist. Hast Du noch ein zwei Stunden Zeit übrig,
so kannst Du weiter zur Riesenhalde hochlaufen, aber auch wenn Du
keine Karte hast und nicht so viel Zeit, lohnt es sich (jetzt im Sommer),
noch einen knappen Kilometer weiterzugehen und die Blütenpracht der
Bergwelt in allen Farben zu erleben.

Getting to the cache: 2 (if you don't get fooled)

For kids this might be a little bit hard.
General Remark
It's actually a straight walk. You should consider at least half an hour to get there from the parking area
plus finding the cache. Even in the summer you'll find temperatures below 5°C in the late evenings.
So, you better try to make it by day - or be prepared.
Where to start?
The cache itself is in Oberried (nearby Kirchzarten) and the part of Oberried is named "St. Wilhelm".
You have to drive through this part of the village until you reach the end. (It is really impressively large).
You can start at the parking lot "Napf" nearby the restaurant "Zur Linde" (closed on Tue & Wed):

You will find an information sign there as well.
Intro
Don't get fooled by the direct distance, your GPS-device might tell you now.
You can follow well marked trails until about 40 ft to the cache.
So you can "do this cache" with the bicycle as well, if you're really tough.
Cache
Shortly before you arrive at the cache you will have a great view on an
old-fashioned black-forest valley, idyllic and all.
The Cache is hidden at some HINKELSTEINE (a german nickname for menhires)
You will be able to see the menhires from the regular path (even in summer).
A minimum of exertion is needed now to get there. My advice is: have some long
trousers and long-sleeved shirt - due to the bushes and nettles.
At the moment it is very dry here. So you might not even see, the small creek
that you have to cross. At other times of the year, this might be more difficult
to achieve without getting wet.
I have to admit that satellite-signals are not very accurate at that location, which is the reason,
why I describe the location in detail. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway and won't find it too easy.
The container is a lock & lock box with 7 x 10 x 6 cm³ in size. Don't bring any big stuff to trade in.
Inhabitants
There is a big fat toad living under one of the stones. We've named her Gundula.
Do not destroy her biotope. It's her home not yours.
Getting back
Your best bet is to take the route you came. Which is obviously the shortest.
If you have a good map at your disposal. Take it with you. Maybe you'll love the area
and return on a different way. You will be enthusiastic, from the view of the Riesenhalde
and you can make a little detour by visiting the Feldberg as well :-)
Even if you don't have a map you can go on for about another half mile which is
a beautiful way at this time of year with all the flowers.
In this case you should chose the same way back as well.
