ChrissySkyking + Blaze: Yeah, I'm afraid this one is really gone. It is such a wonderful area, that I hope someone else can come and put a cache around here!

Visit this hidden pretty lagoon up in California's gold country
where you can sit and enjoy the tranquility of nature. This cache
may not be reachable in the snow season.
For an easy waypoint to get to this cache, start out at the east
end of Jackson Meadows Dam (N 39° 30.569 - W 120° 33.227). While
you're there, walk about 160 feet across the dam, look down, and
enjoy the really cool water spout at the bottom of the dam. You can
walk down to it, too, and it's really cool.
To get to the cache. drive down the dirt road, drive by Milton Lake
(another really nice place to stop and look around), take a left at
the fork when you see a sign which says "Allegheny" and "Sheep
camp" (at N 39 31.457 W 120 35.385), and go to the very end of the
road.
The walk to the cache is approximately 0.13 mi. and involves a
slightly steep narrow trail. This cache is not recommended for
strollers, children under 4, and anyone with trouble walking.
The rock "wall" on the way in is the support for the Truckee Ditch,
built between 1853 and 1857. In rocky sections the flume base was
built up from local materials. The 30 + mile ditch/flume supplied
the mines of American Hill, Minnesota Ridge, Lafayette Hill,
Alleghany, Smith's Flat and Forest City.
The cache is in a tupperware container (white with a green lid)
containing log book, pen, and usual cache goodies. The location is
quite tranquil.
