Horta’s harbour is one of the most important harbours of the
world. Yachts from all over the world stop here as they cross the
Atlantic Ocean. These visitors use to do some paintings on the
harbour’s wall or at its floor and those are testimonies from
their presence in Faial. These paintings are made to be remembered
in the future or sometimes, painted because it’s said that
those who don’t arrive to their destinies.

December 26, 2009 by leonorvl (178 found) #168 Feita com muito vento e muita chuva! Gostava de ter conseguido apreciar melhor as pinturas mas o tempo não permitiu, no fim ainda dei uma corrida para fugir da chuva.

October 10, 2009 by Ilulissat (113 found) #40# On my way to Pico, I had just enough time to find the right painting and to make some photos. This picture I like for the use of an exiting chain for the painting. This gives the picture a 3-D impresion.[This entry was edited by Ilulissat on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 12:30:42 PM.]
