This is my fourth as-far-as-possibel-caches located on "Albuen" as the most westly and first on "Lolland". Du finder denne første cache på Lolland, længst mod vest på Albuen. Dette er min fjerde langt-fra-alfarvej-cache.
"Albuen" is an old culturel area, people have possibly lived out there since 800 ac. In 1400 ac there was a church, market for heerings and winterly quarters for the marine. In 1940´s there were 40 people living outthere. Since then people had moved, the last resident moved in 2002.
"Albuen" is made of drifting sand making changing in the toung of land over period. Fx had the old lighthouse from 1896 be demolish in 1956 and renewed more southeast/inland to the actually locaction. More can be read, in danish, about the lighthouse at (visit link)
Caused by geological aspects there is not any sweet of drinkable water at "Albuen". The summerrecidens has to gather rainwater for cleaning, and bring water from the nearby harbour in "Langø". If you only use WaterClosets, you may use the public one at N54°47.483 E010°58.711 before walk the 6.5 km to the cache. An public hightech version of an old bog is located at N54°50.143 E010°57.775 not far from the cache.
The old pilothouse has recently been renewed for being a visitorhouse for natureguidance. It is possibel to made arrangement for accomodation, please contact +45 54951004. Otherwice you can camp at the ordinary campsite "Albuen Strand Camping" N54°47.502 E010°58.873 phone +45 54948762
If you find the 6-7 km hike to the area/cache for strenous, it is possibel to go by boat from local harbours. Arrangement can be done at "Nakskov touristinformation" phone +45 54922172
There is no services at "Albuen", so bring with you water, food, proper clothing (incl bathing gear ?) - and bring all with you when you go back. Please notice to have your dog in a leash, and respect the residents sayings and wiches - it is their homeyard you are visiting.

”Albuen” er et gammelt beboet område, hvor der var handel, beboelse og kirke. Sidste fastboende fraflyttede området i 2002.
”Albuen” er geologisk dannet og forandres af sandvandring. F.eks er fyrtårnet flyttet, læs mere (visit link) .
”Albuen” har ikke drikkevand, hvorfor sommerhusgæsterne og digselv skal have sit eget vand med. Almindelige toiletter kan ikke findes på Albuen, men kun ved N54°47.483 E010°58.711. Et nymoderne closet er til at finde på Albuen ved N54°50.143 E010°57.775.
Det gamle hus til lodser er ombygget til lokal fremvising af områdets natur. Det er muligt at arrangerer overnatning derude på tlf +45 54951004. Ellers kan der overnattes på "Albuen Strand Camping" N54°47.502 E010°58.873 Tlf: +45 54948762
Hvis gåturen ud til Albuen synes for lang kan turen tages direkte med båd fra Nakskov, kontakt Turistinformationen på +45 54922172.
Der er ingen indkøbsmuligheder på Albuen så alt hvad du finder nødvendigt skal bæres, - og medtages med tilbage igen, da affald ikke fjernes fra Albuen på anden måde.
Hunde skal holdes i snor. Respekter venligst øvrige skiltning og lokale sommerhusbeboeres retningslinier, da det er deres ynglingssted du besøger.
