The cache is found a short hike to the South of Honokohau Harbour. Good walking shoes are recommended.

The hike takes about fifteen minutes cutting across the half-moon beach on the south side of the harbour. You'll be walking across lava rock, so good foot wear is recommended.

this cache has been adopted from the original owner. there is now a new container and refreshed contents.

August 29 by Puppers (8637 found) I didn't quite make it all the way (I was hiking in Teva's, which are normally pretty reliable, but my feet were slipping around under the straps more than usual). Good thing there was a pen in the cache because Mr. P - who made the find - had left his geopen back in the car! (BTW - the tent is still there) [view this log]

July 24 by IVHS76 (1763 found) Quite the walk over the lava to get this one. Not a long ways but several cracks and up and downs to cross. Found cache in good shape and never bothered the tent inhabitants. Having a good time in Hawaii and enjoying all the great caches. Thanks for the fun. [view this log]
