Geocache Description:

The Newmarket Triangle

It's not quite a Traditional,not really a Multi, but closer to a Multi then a Tradional so I guess it's a MYSTERY.

This Cache is hidden somewhere inside the
Newmarket Triangle.
I will give you the Co-ordinates of the corners of the triangle and the Distance in Meters to the Cache from these points.
THE ABOVE LOCATION IS CORNER #1 NOT THE CACHE SITE.

From this information you will have to calculate-
· the angles of the Newmarket Triangle.
· the angles you will need to use in plotting were the actual location
of the cache is.
All co-ordinates given are True North.

Location #1.- On The Corner - N44° 02.501 , W079° 28.185
1000 meters from Cache.

Location #2.- Middle Of The Road -N44° 01.788 , W079° 26.961
1558 meters from Cache.

Location #3.- Court Number One - N44° 03.045 , W079° 27.571
921 meters from Cache.

This is a chance to put that High School Trigonometry to the test.

Do you still remember these equations?

Tangent = Opposite Side/Adjacent Side
Cosine = Adjacent Side/Hypotenuse

When all three sides are known,then
Cos A = (b2+c2-a2) / (2bc)

The program from EasyGPS.com is a great help. And a Scientific Calculator is plus.

Hopefully, the information given will lead to success but searchers should bear in mind that all readings from a GPS receiver must be considered approximate to some extent. For example, if a bearing from a waypoint to a target is 47 deg then the target may be anywhere between 46.5 and 47.5 deg away, a total tolerance of 1 deg. If the target is 1 km away then it can be anywhere on a line approximately 17 metres long, perpendicular to the bearing. Caches, such as this, may well have an accumulation of tolerances which result in an ill-defined final location.
