Geocache Description:

A stroll around some points of interest in Milton
This is a multi-cache where you must visit several locations to gather information to calculate the coords of the cache - total walking distance is probably around 2.5km.
This cache can be attempted day or night - and as you will pass through a very popular cafe strip, you may wish to consider pausing for coffee & cake [:)]

*** Cache Replaced on 26 August 2009 ***
*** Replaced again on 11 Feb 2010 ***
*** And again on 2 May 2010 ***
*** Yet again on 19 June 2011 ***
*** Once more on 20 March 2015 ***
===========================================================
Container is a round screw cap container (about 0.5 litre size). Cache is in a busy area, but you should be able to sit down and go about your business without arousing suspicion.
PLEASE REPLACE CONTAINER CAREFULLY - so that it is hidden from view.
============================================================

During my lunchtime walks I have discovered a number of historical points of interest around the Milton area.
Your task, should you wish to accept it, is to visit each of the following 7 locations, answer the questions and then find the actual cache. At each location there is a sign or plaque giving a brief history of the location and of course, the answer to the question.
The coordinates given above are for point of interest No. 1 - You may visit the 7 locations in any order you choose.
Note that there are a couple of busy roads to cross, please cross at signals only.

For all dates, enter the numerical equivalent of the month - eg if sign says 8 May 1996 then Day = 08, Month = 05, Year = 1996
I have provided checksums for each point of interest. Checksum is the total of all digits in the answer, so 08 05 1996 = 8+5+1+9+9+6 = 38

Ok, lets begin.

Point 1 - S 27 28.244 E 153 00.281 - Sally Anne Atkinson was here
Day (1A) Month (1B) Year (1C)
_ _ - _ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 40

Point 2 - S 27 27.976 E 152 59.909 - Commemorating centenary
Day (2A) Month (2B) Year (2C)
_ _ - _ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 36

Point 3 - S 27 28.507 E 153 00.206 - John Oxley was hereabouts
Day (3A) Month (3B) Year (3C)
_ _ - _ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 34

Point 4 - S 27 28.007 E 153 00.045 - Surveyor General (Please note that the original sign at these coords appears to have gone AWOL - logs suggest it is now further along the road - I will investigate, In the meantime, my apologies)
From year (4A) To year (4B)
_ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 44

Point 5 - S 27 28.236 E 153 00.000 - Known as Western Creek
Year (5A)
_ _ _ _ Checksum = 25

Point 6 - S 27 28.102 E 153 00.361 Served
From year (6A) To year (6B)
_ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 39

Point 7 - S 27 28.094 E 152 59.932 Dedicated
Month (7A) Year (7B)
_ _ - _ _ _ _ Checksum = 25

Add 1A+2A+3A+4A+5A+6A+7A = AAAA Checksum = 16
Add 1B+2B+3B+4B+6B+7B = BBBB Checksum = 19
Add 1C+2C+3C = CCCC Checksum = 28

SS.SSS = (AAAA+BBBB+16711) / 1000
E.EEE = (BBBB+CCCC-11213) / 1000

Cache is at s27 SS.SSS e153 0E.EEE

I hope you enjoy your history lesson
