Underground on your way to this easy cache is part of the "famous" petroleum pipeline system that caused a tragic explosion in Bellingham a few years past. You will also be aware of another part of our energy system. I have be reassured by the city of Bellevue that this area is safe and it is something we all need to know is in our backyards. This spot is good for berry picking and there are plenty of deer running through here, watch where you step. The cache is an ammo box in a pretty classic place. Park at N 47 33.342 W 122 09.852 which is a new trailhead parking area which is across the street from BellevuePD speed trap parking. Approach from the new trailhead on forest drive, the old approach via the pipeline is totally overgrown with blackberry vines. It is still a little bushwack but doable.
