Kerry Cache #4 is located on Le Petit Saleve, in France, but just south of Geneva, Switzerland.
Kerry Cache #4 can be found on top of Le Petit Saleve the little brother mountain of and to the left of Le Grand Saleve, in France, but just south of Geneva. Don't forget your passport if coming from Geneva. The cache is at about 897m in elevation. You can start from Pas de l'Echelle -- about 425m -- and hike up-hill for about 60 minutes, or drive to Monnetier at about 700m in elevation, skipping the hardest part of the hike, but leaving you with about 30 minutes up-hill. Alternatively, you could come up the Annemasse side of Le Petit Saleve. Given that Le Petit Saleve is a high traffic area on weekends, given its accessibility and great views, I had to head into the bush to stow the cache, at the base of a big fallen tree. Thus the coordinates might be a little off. Original contents include neat stuff from the three Team Canada Suisse caches that I visited earlier in the day: miniature mickey mouse, mirror and picture frame. In addition, I left wooden dominos, toy rubber stamps and a stamp pad, mini playing cards, a pewter business card holder, brown laces for hiking shoes, lapel pins and sunglasses. Enjoy! -- Kerry
