Bruce Trail or Land of the Lost? Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

This is an absolutely amazing section of the Bruce Trail. Parking is at:
43° 07.308N
079° 21.067W

We have been looking for a place to plant this cache for a few weeks now. We came across this place by accident and were blown away by the scenery and very unusual insect life here. The trails and ancient rock formations are amazing. You may need to use the location spoiler as the thick tree cover may make the accuracy of the coordinates questionable. Make sure you have good hiking wear, strong ankles and a lot of deet. There is a vineyard next to the trail area that uses "bird bangers." They startled us at first as they sound a lot like shot gun blasts.
The cache is in a clear food container with a white lid. The contents include and logbook, pen, travel domino set, carabeaner, fairy snowglobe, silly putty and Dalmatian toy. The cache is a few meters roughly south of the footpath. I didn't want to put it too far in the bush as this is a sensitive area, so please tread lightly. Keep an eye out for giant insects of all types. This place has a truly fairy tale/prehistoric feel to it. There is an amazing 3km loop off the main trail that is well worth it.
I hope that you enjoy this place and our cache. We plan to visit often.
