Geocache Description:

Cache is in a lock and lock container located in the oldest state park in NH, Miller State Park. You can drive, bike or hike up to the summit. THE TERRAIN RATING IS BASED ON DRIVING. Hiking it could make it a 5/5. There may be a fee($4 per person)to use the park depending on the season/time of day.
WINTER INFO:The cache rehide(as was the original) is NOT in a dangerous spot on the mountain and can be found in the winter if you enjoy winter mountain hiking and digging thru snow and ice.

This is a rehide since the original cache container and all it's contents have gone missing. We have placed it in a different location so that it is away from the main gathering area. It is off the trail a bit but not in a dangerous spot, so you won't fall off the mountain. Those who have found the original are more than welcomed to look for this one. There is a "God Bless The USA" car magnet for FTF on this rehide. When we heard that people were placing flags on some of the mountains here in NH on the 2nd anniversary of 9/11, we decided to place one on Pack Monadnock. Casper and Snickers(golden retriever sisters who both now cache at the Rainbow Bridge) placed the original cache here in 2003. Moxie and Liberty(14 week old golden sisters) came up here to rehide the cache on 8/23/05. There are different types of flag pins and ribbons in the cache. There is also a copy of "The Starfish Legend" from the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue website(please do not remove this copy). When you find the cache, sign the log book, say a prayer, incantation or whatever moves you, read The Starfish Legend and enjoy some beautiful views of NH and beyond.
PLEASE NOTE:This cache is hidden along the Wapack Trail. Camping is NOT permitted along the Wapack Trail. For more information about the Wapack Trail, please visit www.wapack.org
