Park at Pinicle & Old Littleton Rds.At the Harvard Concervation Land.Parking is only a dirt area on the side of the road for 3 cars. There are no trails. Just Deer Trails.Enter the Conservation land over the stone wall.Toward the east side there is an Apple Orchard,walk along the stone wall on the left stay behind the Apple Orchard.
(Caution) there is a hole in the ground by the large bolder.We have no idea what it was used for. Maybe a GeoCacher can tell us what it was used for?
The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) conducted with the 84-foot radio telescope at the Oak Ridge Observatory, in Harvard, MA,Is located about 300 feet south of the Cache site. The parking lot that can be seen through the woods.
This was META (Megachannel ExtraTerrestrial Assay), funded by The Planetary Society (through a gift from Steven Spielberg).

In 1982, The Movie E.T. (The Extra-Terrestrial) Was released by Steven Spielberg. And it became one of the most popular films in history. Steven Spielberg donated $100,000. toward the Project META (Megachannel Extraterrestrial Assay).
In 1985, Spielberg personally threw the switch that turned on the new system. SETI took another major step forward.
The telescope was badly damaged in a windstorm during the week of March 22, 1999.The 84-foot radio telescope has been out of service ever since.
