Geocache Description:

This cache is adventurous and quite difficult to reach. The coordinates must lead you to a cave entrance in the northern wall of a rock formation named Samson. Entering the cave and following the tunnel (about 20 meters) will bring you to a view point (watch your kids !) with a superb view on the village named Namêche and the river Meuse. At this place there are some holes in the cliff face. The cache (a white container) is in one of them.

Finding your way up to the Samsonrock is not that simple. Although the Rue de Liege is the nearest road it is better not to attemp the approach from there, it is (almost) impossible!

This is the one I propose : Go to N 50°27.922' E 5°00.035' : there you will find a gap between two houses. Enter that gap and just after the corner of the house to your right you will find a step witch ends in a path. Follow that path all the way up. Go to N 50°27.951' E 4°59.888' where you can see the remains of the ancient roman Samson fortress. Follow the path direction N 50°27.975' E 4° 59.751'. Now you very close to the caves entrance : follow the path in the direction of the cliff (North) and you'll find the entrance. It is impossible to reach the cache without crawling (it is quite narrow but not too) through the tunnel.

From where the cache is hidden there is absolutely no possibility to continue your walk, you have to go back through the tunnel! You don't need climbing gear to reach the cache, the path that leads to the cave entrance is safe but anyway : Watch out !

Especially with children you must be very carefull. Don't look all the time at the arrow of your device, the coordinates of the cache itself aren't very reliable since you have a very bad reception up there because of the vertical wall. Follow the above instructions, watch where you are walking and you'll reach the cache safely.

For the real adventurers among you : there is a abandoned path that goes all the way up. It is very steep and probably can't be done after a rainy period. I would not do it with kids or when you are alone and I certainly wouldn't take it to go down again. This is how you can find the path : In Namêche (at the south side of the Meuse) follow the Rue de Liège in eastern direction until you reach the street lamp with number :K 126109 (just in front of an electro shop)(N50 28.021 E4 59.819). After the fence behind that street lamp starts the path.
