Geocache Description:

5-31-20. Hello! Just wanted to let everyone know that this caches' namesake has sadly gone missing quite some time ago!
The cache is located not terribly far off the Ellicott Creek trailway. A short description from wnyrin.com:

Ellicott Creek Bike Path is a town owned developed park in the Town of Amherst in Erie County. A 7.2 mile bike-way that starts on North Forest Road near the corner of Maple Road and goes to Ellicott Creek Park in the Town of Tonawanda.

Park at N42 59.607 W078 45.618. Alternatively, you can cut about .2 miles off your round trip by parking on Georgian Lane, near the corner of N. Forest Road. The cache is a large (2 gallon) Rubbermaid container, and, you guessed it, contains a talking toilet.

I don't think I need to mention it, but the talking toilet is not a trade item!

The cache is huge, larger than a .50 cal box, so the Talking Toilet cache is extremely Travel Bug Friendly.

The talking toilet was a gift given to me by my dear Mother-in-law, which sat on a shelf unopened for I'm guessing over two years. But no more; Since I've decided I can hide it in the woods to let people find it, it's not my problem anymore.

The Talking Toilet is extremely loud and boisterous!! The screaming toilet may have been a more appropriate name. You may want to muffle the speaker, on the bottom.

Feel free to trade items for sacrifice to this pint-sized porcelain God, but the only original contents are the toilet itself, and a log book.

The talking toilet is also a functioning liquid soap dispenser, and is occasionally filled with Purell brand hand sanitizer on maintenance visits (no water required, just rub it in). It would be unwise to leave the area without remembering to wash your hands.

The easiest way to this cache: Around 2012, The Town of Amherst cleared all the brush from the shore of the creek and about 50 feet inland. From the recommended parking coordinates, you will come to a pedestrian bridge over Ellicott Creek at about .2 miles down the bike path. Right after this bridge, hang a sharp right, and go down along the creek shoreline (you will pass "The Mother Tree Cache" by HootieMcGrudy). Although there is no "trail", due to heavy ground cover (bonus points if anyone can tell me what this carpet of green is), but you can get to within 100 feet of the cache this way. WARNING this last 100 feet, while you are entering "the woods", has many tripping hazards! i.e. fallen limbs hidden by the green carpet of undergrowth.
