Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the Powderhouse in Amesbury on Brown Hill. You can park on Madison St. just as long as you don't block the fire hydrant. There are some dislodged granite steps at the beginning of the walk (which have been replaced with sturdy steps) and then a somewhat steep hill. Pretty easy hike, though.

I grew up in Amesbury just a few streets over (Wood Ave.). We would always hike up the trail and explore the area around the powderhouse. When I returned to the hill I was sorry to find it in bad shape. There's quite a bit of litter on the hill. I know many of you care a great deal about the cleanliness of the outdoors and thought maybe if you had a reason to go up there then you could help out. It would be much appreciated if you cached in and trashed out.
This is my first cache. It is a coffee can. Be thorough and you'll be sure to find it. The original contents of the cache are: cowboys(who want to be dispersed throughout the world), a log book, pencil, and a mech pencil(backup). The first person to find this cache gets a homemade superlight backpacking stove. It's a ritchcot original. Just email me for directions on how to use it. Good luck and happy hunting!

P.S. While you're in the area, try out my dad's multi-cache: Getting to Know Amesbury.
