A Trail of Two Bridges Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Hard Oiler: Decided the time had come - so picked up the rather weatherbeaten remains of this cache and put out a sequel (and a couple more too). Thanks to all who visited and now's your chance to come back for another one.

Geocache Description:

An excellent spot for a winter hike. The cache is a well camouflaged, 3 litre Lock&Lock. You'll need to find both bridges to reach this cache without getting your feet wet.

Parking for this hunt is at N 42°45.858' W 82°20.234'. Follow the trail to the first bridge - a causeway across Bear Creek. Then if you pick the right trail you'll find the next bridge - not well maintained but useable. Once across it's a short hike to the cache site. Judging from the old signs on some of the trees this was once the site of a mountain bike course. Now home to a variety of wildlife as well an experimental tall grass prairie planting.

For a longer hike follow a trail from the second bridge to N 42°46.036' W 82°20.236' and take the trail going either West or North.

Take care when crossing the bridges and stay off the ice on the creek.
