Geocache Description:

An easy 500 metre stroll along a pleasant, flat, if sometimes muddy track through Nikau bush near Piha on Auckland's West Coast.

My other nearby cache, What is on the Menu is tough and has even proved life threatening so this one was set up as an easy alternative.
The cache was set up and the placement organised by my 8-year-old grand- daughter Kayla.
There is said to be an unusual Nikau whose trunk splits into five, close by this cache but we failed to find it. If you know or find it please record the co-ords in your log.

This track joins with the Mungaroa Track and provide a choice of loop walks back to Piha.

The cache is in a 2 litre camo-painted plastic barrel and when placed contained, in addition to the log book and pencil etc.
A potato peeler
A magnetic Key holder
An expanding turtle

The position listed is on the track as the cache is offset about 12 metres almost directly south (true) where reception was difficult.
