Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
NOTE: The halifax side feeder cache was muggled, so I need to
replace the code there again, and the Dartmouth one has been
archived, plus the $25 card is gone .
================================
RE-INCARNATED AGAIN USING COMBINATION LOCKS instead of the original
keys that kept getting lost... This is a cache outside a cache
idea! You must visit at least two OTHER caches in the HRM area, to
get to the final cache, which has a $25 gift certificate in it.

========================================================
* One padlocked clue is in Dartmouth, in a cache that is up
high
* One padlocked clue is in Halifax, in a cache that is up
high
Clues for caches that contain a combination include:
* In a Yellow cache
* In point Pleasant Park
* RIP
Final cache: You will need to open a door in a place near many
locks to retrieve it.
Current gift certificate: SWISS CHALET/Harveys/Montanas

I thought it would be fun to increase the stakes a bit from the
normal dollar store stuff, and thought I would try this, with an
un-usual twist that will allow you to either re-visit previously
logged caches, or get double points by logging other caches on the
way to completion of this one!
* There are two small padlocked clue holders placed in two
different caches within the HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality -
aka Halifax County) area of Nova Scotia. Both clue holders are
identical, so you need only locate one or the other, not
both.
* I have placed the combinations to the two locks in various caches
in the HRM area. Note that the two combination locks are different,
so you many need to go to BOTH locks depending on how lucky you
are.
INSTRUCTIONS:
=============
1) Find a cache with one of the "secret combination codes". Write
down the 3 digit combination. (Don't forget to log your visit in
that cache as a find.
2) Find one of the padlocked clue holders, and try the secret
combination code you found, Remember that there are two locks so
you have a 50/50 chance of it working. If it doesn't fit then you
will have to find the OTHER locked clue... PLEASE LEAVE THE LOCKED
CLUE HOLDER in the same cache that you find it located in.
(Don't forget to log your visit as a find and/or a note that you
found the lock).
3) Once you have opened the locked container, you will have the GPS
co-ordinates of the final location.
4) The "swap" is a gift certificate worth $25 or more. Many stores
offer "credit card" like certificates that are waterproof. The
starter certificate was from Canadian Tire. Please come prepared to
replace the current certificate with another SINGLE gift
certificate of equal or greater value (please avoid discount
coupons). If you don't want to do the $25 swap, then you can do a
conventional small item cache swap with some of the other things in
the cache, and be sure to sign the log. If you make it to the
cache, think of it as buying a little gift for yourself. (Your
previous geocacher is helping you pick WHERE to buy your own gift -
You are helping the next cacher decide where to buy theirs).
Have fun. -Rob
FYI: I found a few other slightly different key-lock caches in the
USA. Waypoint names: GCH17W, GCC52A, GCGDX5
Additional Hints
(Decrypt)
[The starter co-ordinates on the MacDonald Bridge have nothing to do with the final location of the cache.
The final cache is disguised above ground (winter compatible).
