This cache is a definate 4.5 - 5 on terrain during the winter (more
below). The cache is in a rubber container with a white lid.
Contents: Logbook and pen, cd's, mini recordable cd-r, glow in the
dark paint and more....
As stated above this cache is a difficult one in late fall, winter
and spring. If you are looking for a challenge in the winter grab
some cramp-ons and give it a shot, the area in which it is placed
is not far from the road. The elevation change from the road to the
cache is about 250-200 ft, the snow will more than likely be deep
and slippery in this area. The cache is located on the edge of a
cliff-like drop off. A stone pillar has been placed to make finding
it easier in the snow cover. Give it a shot, but be carefull!!!
Summer cachers: This cache is in a steep area, but much much
easier when the ground is not slippery....
Park at the enterence to the Stokes Outdoor center trail.

November 5, 2009 by GeolDoc (303 found) Going down is tougher than going up. Nice hide. TFTC, TNLN, SLContainer has a big hole in it, but the white trash bag is doing pretty well keeping stuff dry. There are a couple of small holes in the bag, however, so it probably should be changed before the snow flies for good.

October 12, 2009 by TheSorensens (7 found) We thought we would try this one right after we did the Green Door. The only problem was our one year old was in a back pack on my back. Not such a great idea. We went at it from right below it. It was looking ok until we hit the cliff. We would have just scrambled up if we didnt have the baby. One of us will be back to claim this one while the other watches the little one. These are the kind of caches I like. Thanks for this one.

August 29, 2009 by alarobric (444 found) #403 - My last for the day. Probably shouldn't have attempted it at 830pm at night with dusk well set in. It was 9 by the time I hit the road again and very dark. Without a light I nearly fell hard several times. Oh the things we do for caches. TFTC.

September 3, 2008 by chemed2 (1229 found) Didn't see no pillar ... squirrels musta got it. Same squirrels who have nibbled through the side of the cache and into the plastic bag inside. But the "insides" are in good shape. The terrain was 4+, as advertised, when we found the way down, but must've been 5+ on the way up ... straight up the face. Hey, that's our kinda cache!! Thanks! tnln.
