The site is the location of the Battle of
Lansdown of which there is more information here Here.
The walk up to the cache takes you past what is probably one of the
best views of Bristol on a clear day. After the cache if you choose
to take the alternative route back, there are also excellent views
of Keynsham.

I have constructed the cache as a multicache
in order to direct you over conveniently over footpaths to the
cache. At no point should you find yourself diverting from public
footpaths. When we set up the cache we had to keep waiting for the
children as they kept finding places to play in the woods
etc.
You can park on the road very close to the
cache location.
The original contents of the cache
are:
- Devil's Eyes
- Hotwheels Car
- Set of 5 Dice
- Photo Bunny TB
- PC Zone Demo Games CD
- Superman Pen top
- Unused TB dog tag
The clues are as follows:
Virtual Cache 1
I am looking for the type of animal situated on the top of the
feature (read the text at the feature if you are unsure)
-------
5678879
The location of the next cache is N51°25.F06, W2°24.1N6.
|
Virtual Cache 2
The number on the path sign (no surprises here!)
ABCD
The location of the cache is N51°25.(B+1)85, W2°24.(C+5)05.
Keep to the road going to the next location to avoid a tricky
climb

The Actual Cache
You should be able to find the actual cache fairly easily now.
Read the clue if you have a problem.
|
The way back
You can either go straight back from here, or if you take the
route to waypoint N51°25.508, W2°24.453 there is a nice walk
through the woods before heading down a road back to the parking
area.
