On the edge of the Ellwood Main Monarch Butterfly Grove, where the monarch butterflies visit from mid October to early March each year.
This is on a path that leads to a beautiful bluff above the ocean. After finding the cache, just continue out the path, between the upright poles. I placed the cache at dusk, and heard hoot owls in the trees at that time! There is parking at N34º25.429 W119º53.370, and I suggest you use them to find your way back to your car, as it is easy to take a wrong path here.
