Geocache Description:

The final cache location is a great area for setting up a telescope or having a small star party. This is a three stage multicache.

The nearest farm is about a mile to the North. It gets very dark out here since the lights from the Tri-Cities are blocked off by the edge of the Horse Heaven Hills. Set up lounge chairs and watch for meteors. There are small wide areas for parking on each side of the road at the final cache destination. (Enough for a couple cars on each side) The road you will be parked on is a dead end 4 miles ahead, so traffic will be next to nil here.

Look for a set of coordinates "somewhere" at the first location. You may have to do some minor 'hands on' while searching for them; they are NOT visible by just looking. The coordinates will lead you to the second location which has another set of coordinates that may (or may not) be easier to find. The second coordinates will lead you to the final destination.

Cache is a 20mm cannon ammunition can. Please make sure the lid is back on tight when replacing the cache. (The 20mm ammo box has a removable lid that can be tricky to put back on)

Original contents:
Bushnell compact binoculars in nylon case
2 D-cell Maglight (red anodized)
Laminated moon chart
"The Heavens" A Worldbook Encyclopedia of Science book. (coffee table size)
Finder scope with telescope mount.
Set of three 0.965" telescope eyepieces. (20mm, 12.5mm, 4mm)
Sorry, these are cheapies… my 'scope uses "Real" 1.25" eyepieces. :-)
One genuine Magellan "Cache-in Trash-Out" litter bag. (Courtesy of Sluggo)
Logbook with a pen and pencil.

UPDATE: 12/27/2009 Someone removed the original wooden posts and/or my original clue, so I had to redo the coordinates. They're right out in the open for the reading, you'll just have to look for them. :)

UPDATE: 11/1/2010 Someone stole the original 20mm ammo box. It has been replaced with a .50 cal ammo box. It's MUCH harder to find now. I almost lost it myself when walking to the Jeep and back to get my camera to take photos of it. :)
