Cachen er en 1 liter plastikboks gemt i nærheden af Højerup Gammel kirke, som naturen langsomt men sikkert er ved at fjerne.
The cache is a 1 liter plastic box hidden not far from Højerup old chirch. The nature is slowly trying to tear down the church.
Danish: Højerup gl. Kirke er opført af kridtsten o.1250-1300. Dengang lå kirken i god afstand fra klinten. Sagnet fortæller, at kirken hver julenat flytter et hanefjed ind i landet, men dette var ikke nok til at forhindre katastrofen.Den 16. marts 1928 styrtede kirkens kor og en del af kirkegården i havet, efter at tidens tand havde gnavet sig ind i klinten. Kirken var dog af sikkerhedsgrunde blevet lukket allerede i 1910. Den resterende del af bygningen er i dag grundigt sikret, og én gang om året - den 2. tirsdag i august - afholdes en meget populær sang- og musikaften. Aflæg et besøg i kirken og oplev den særprægede stemning.
English: Højerup Old Church was built of chalk ashlar c.1250-1300. Back then, it stood at a safe distance from the cliff. According to the legend, the church moves a cock-stride inland each Christmas night; but this did not suffice to avoid disaster: in 1928, the chancel and part of the cemetary plunged into the sea as a result of the ravages of time on the cliff. For security reasons, it had already been closed in 1910. Today, the remainder of the building is thoroughly secured, and once a year - the second Tuesday of August - a popular evening of music and singing is held there. Pay the church a visit and take in its special atmosphere.
