Aulangon luonnonsuojelualueen kaakkoispuolella keskellä
metsäistä mäkeä on 1860-luvulla rakennettu ruutikellari, jota
ympäröi neliömäinen kivimuuri. Ruutikellari liittyy Hämeenlinnan
kasarmien rakentamiseen. Se on rauhoitettu muinaismuistolain
nojalla.
Ruutikellarin alue on noin 85x100 metriä. Kivimuuri on
kohtalaisen hyvin säilynyt. Muurin sisäpuolella on ruutimakasiinien
jäänteitä.
TALVIKÄTKÖ - Kätkö ei jää talvella lumen alle. Se on kuitenkin
lumen ympäröimä - käytä suksia, lumikenkiä tai kahlaa.

The coordinates bring you to the gate of old water reservoir.
There is no water tower but underground reservoir. The area is
surrounded with five cornered fence. How many fence-posts there
are?

Amid a forested hill in the south-eastern part of Aulanko forest
park there is a powder magazine from the 1860s. It is surrounded by
a square stonewall. The site dates back to the time when the
Hämeenlinna barracks were built. It is now protected by the law of
ancient monuments and sites.
The area of powder magazine is about 85x100 metres. The
stonewall is in quite good condition. Inside the walls is remains
of powder magazines.
WINTER CACHE - The cache is not under snow in winter. It is however
surrounded by snow - use skis, snowshoes or wade.
