Geocache Description:

An easy micro cache in Arlington's Centennial Park.

For the past 20 years, Arlington has been trying to find it's "identity". While those who make the big decisions try to decide if it should be Victorian or Western, the city has done some theme neutral improvements. These include traffic circles (hated by most), re-routing Highway 530, and turing a grassy median into Centennial Park.

The park has a fountain, grass, a few picnic tables and a drinking fountain. The best part of the park is its proximity to another Arlington landmark, the Fountain Drive-In. I am a greasy spoon lover, always in search of the outstanding shakes and burgers. It's lucky for me that I can find both close to home. They serve delicious straw collapsing milk shakes and their burgers, The Fountain (cheese, ham, and bacon) and The Betcher (not on the menu, ask for it, same as the Fountain with double meat)are the stuff of cravings.

Another good bet in town is The Local Scoop. Located on Olympic Avenue, they serve a "junior" scoop of ice cream that is almost two cups of the creamy stuff! The Country Charm ice cream they sell is made in Arlington and is very good.

The cache is a magnetic key holder. It contains a small log book and an assortment of fun buttons (clothes type not campaign buttons). You'll need to bring your own writing instrument. The cache location is very exposed so be subtle.
