Geocache Description:

We found these bones while hiking in the area. They seem to move around, disappear and reappear. It's a great hike and view from the cache.

Our first cache placement for the Trail Family. We found the bones along this ridge in the Summer of 2003. Every time we came to this place, the bones would be in different places. Somebody or something kept moving them around. At least Socrates posted a picture for proof of their existence.

Continue up the trail past Zip Up Your Pockets for another half mile or so. Bones were right on the trail, about a dozen feet past the cache. There were a couple of big leg bones, and a pelvic bone. A few feet farther down the trail on the left was a leg bone with hoof and shoe (see picture). Not sure what happened to this horse. Probably died of a heart attack like I almost did on this steep trail.

If possible, keep the horse theme when trading. If you can't, take a horse anyway. It will keep the memory of this mysterious ghost horse alive.
