How Geocaching Works
This cache is located at Squaw Valley USA Ski Area. It is reached by taking the KT-22 chair lift in winter or by hiking in the summer. THE TERRAIN SERVICED BY THIS LIFT AND THE AREA WHERE THE CACHE IS HIDDEN ARE FOR EXPERT SKIERS ONLY. DO NOT GO HERE IN WINTER UNLESS YOU CAN SKI DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND TERRAIN!!! In the summer there is a hiking trail that leads near the cache but CAUTION IS NEEDED NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF YEAR YOU ATTEMPT THIS CACHE!!
Take KT-22 chair lift from the Base Area at Squaw Valley USA. Head North toward West Face and The Nose. The cache is a 35mm film canister containing a Geocaching.com sheet, a small pencil and log sheet, hidden in a tree. Once you get to the cache area it should be somewhat easy to find.
In summer a hiking trail goes near the cache but some cross-country hiking will be necessary.
Have Fun!!
