Geocache Description:

Cache in a large white container, black lid. It is approx 3 litre old protein powder container. The hike is an easy 40-55 min round trip on single track trail and footpath, if you are good/lucky. Coordinates are within 40 feet, if you are in a hurry the hint will take you there quickly, unless the snow is deeper than 12 inches. The tree cover in there will make most GPS units jump, so if you have trouble finding the cache use the hint. Enjoy!

(Attention! Not recommended in winter months if snow is over your shins! If you are a digger, you may find it, as many have many during winter months since 2004. If you want an easier search, please wait until Spring, Summer, and Fall. This is an area I treasure and wanted to share with other hikers before city development eventuelly cuts into it. Remember a lot of people seek caches to find beautiful new areas, not just to follow a GPS signal to a single rock in the middle of a field so they can check off their log. If you want a simple quick and easy find, this may not be for you!)
Cache contents, I threw together on a whim. The treasure is in finding the location. Park at 44 degrees, 37.925N
063 degrees,39.476min.W.Suggest trail walking instead of bushwacking. Walk down the trail(along the river) to Long Lake. Hang a RIGHT, follow the trail along the lake for 20 mins, to 44 degrees,37.637min,063degrees,39.489 min.Watch for a footpath on your left, halfway there. Follow said footpath along a beatiful little river, about 15 mins, to cache location. No need to cross river. My etrex was within 30 ft. Enjoy!
Since I have recieved a maintenance complaint from one member who cannot find this cache, I have raised the difficulty from 2.5 to 3.5. Approx 95% of cachers who have searched for this cache have found it, but without reading the hint/spoiler it is a search; in a very delightful location on a close to the city hike that many are unaware of. GPS units will jump with the tree cover, so you may need the hint. Enjoy the search.
