You must be logged in with a Geocaching.com account to view the specific location of this geocache. It's free!
The trail begins at these coordinates: N 32 degrees 54.006' W 105
degrees 55.060'. You may park anywhere on the street you like.
There is about a 450 ft. rise in elevation to get to this cache but
you can probably get to it in about 20 minutes if you are in decent
shape. The trail is well maintained and there should not be any
bush wacking until you get to the final coordinates. Even then, the
area is not very overgrown.
"A" stands for Alamogordo. This should be an easy cache to find.
The cache container is a .50 caliber ammo can which is hidden
behind a cluster of small yucca plants that are about knee high.
This cluster is to the right of a large flat boulder.
The original contents of the container are:
- 2 glow sticks
- A U.S.B.P. patch
- A lei from Hawaii
- A hacky-sack ball
- 2 children's books
- A mini-maglite
- 2 fresh AA batteries
- I will be adding more to it later
Please trade even or up and sign the log. Hope you enjoy the view.
