This virtual cache is accessible day or night as it is well-lighted. It is to be logged only by people who actually visit the sight.
Lubbock Area Veterans Memorial, dedicated December 7, 2003, is located in Henry Huneke Park. Equally beautiful day or night, it is made up of three parts. The center portion commemorates veterans from the South Plains who were killed in action during WW I, WW II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf War(s). On either side of this center section there are areas honoring living and deceased members of the United States Armed Forces. The final section is for those who wish to show their support of our veterans and the memorial itself.
Personalized bricks honor the veterans and are incorporated into the design of the memorial. There are a number of quotations engraved in stone throughout the memorial area. In order to claim this virtual, send an email completing this short quotation and naming the author:
