Kablooey left a glove at one of the Cruz Commando puzzle caches in San Jose. So how does a geocacher return a lost item to another geocacher? They make a new cache and make him come and get it! It creates a sort of geo-cosmic symmetry... lost and found, give and take. In honor of this symmetry, there is a yin yang hackie sac in the cache.
So, at placement, the cache contains among other things, Kablooey's right hand glove. Please do NOT take this item... it's waiting here until Kablooey comes to get it... kind of an "anti-Travel Bug".
Update Feb 8: Kablooey has retrieved his glove, so the cache is now gloveless, but the cache still awaits any intrepid cacher who loves a good puzzle
The cache is locked to keep Kablooey's Glove safe. But the combination is written on the side of the container in code. Find the cache and decode the combination... that's all there is to it. Think you're ready? If you know why "8" is the next figure in the following figure sequence, you should have no problem decoding the combination.
Please Hide the cache as good or better than you found it. Easy Walk (less than 1 mile round trip). Easy Find. Nice ocean views from an open area preserve not visited much. A great place to come and relax. Please stay on the trails. The Cache can be reached (with a bit of a stretch) from existing trails. NOTE TO PARENTS: This cache is located near cliffs without a fence. Terrain is appropriate for young cachers as long as they have supervision.
At placement, Cache contains:
- Several jewlers screwdriver sets
- Wood Toy dragster
- A yin-yang hackie sac
- New matchbox car
- Kablooey's Glove
- Log book and pencil
- FTF Prize: GEO oval sticker
