Magic Mountain is a small theme park on NSW's south coast. A popular destination with all ages but check the link for opening hours as they vary with the seasons. It can also get busy in summer holidays and queues can be expected for rides. Mid week in Feb we hardly waited more than a few minutes and rode rides all day. There are BBQ's for those who wish to picnic.

The cache is a small sistema container and contains a log and pencil, and initially a window flower and a handy clamp. Small swaps only sorry. Please hide it well as this is a popular spot.
The cache is outside the park and therefore can be logged without completing the challenge. If the gates are shut or the park is closed, you can park on the opposite side of the road (well off the road under the power lines as it is double lines) and cross carefully. Cache is approximately 40m from roadside. For those who wish to push the limits it is as follows....
By managing to take my Platinum onto the Magic Mountain Toboggan Ride I was able to record my speed. My best speed observed on the day was 46.7kmh just before the last turn, I think this is the fastest spot on the course. However downloading the track (10m increments) into the laptop later I see that mid 50kmh speeds are possible if you avoid use of brakes (used briefly only twice on quickest run) - I just wasn't looking at my GPS at the right time - possibly as I was trying to drive...What can you clock?
Ride operators were seemingly happy to oblige and interested in what I was doing but I know they don't allow cameras on any rides.
Some interesting trivia.
The park has 3 tobogans for staff use only that have no brakes. Of 17 staff only 3 have completed the course with no brakes without complications....
A golf ball released at the top of the course will always come out the bottom....
And for those who lack the desire to test the waterproof capabilities of their Meridian I did it for you - the open waterslide has a top speed of 25kmh and the tunnel has a top speed of 27kmh.
All of these rides of course are quicker the heavier you are - that's gravity - so these figures are for my mass of 90kg.
