NRRT - Groton Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of NRRT - Groton to find out about the status of this cache on October 15, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton

The cache is along the beautiful Nashua River Rail Trail just north of the center of Groton. The trail link (visit link) provides details of this 11 mile rail trail that goes from the NH border in Dunstable down to Ayer, MA. This is a well used paved trail with bicycles, joggers, walkers and the occasional horseback rider.

It is a little over half a mile south of the designated parking area at N42 37.994 W71 34.539 or a little over a mile north from another parking area at N42 36.441 W71 34.402. There are other points of local access but none with public parking.

The cache itself is a green ammo box with a log book and some goodies. It is just off the paved trail and well within the clearly marked boundaries of the trail right of way. The ground could be soft after a heavy rain.

The first to find it will also discover Clifford the big red geo-dog who is beginning his journey to see all things big or red.
