Aquest és el primer geocache de la subcomarca del Lluçanès. És situat al terme municipal de Lluçà, que amb una superfície 53,54 km2 n’és el segon municipi més extens. Es troba entre les riera de Lluçanès i la de Merlès. A l’actualitat només té uns 250 habitants, si bé en els primers temps medievals fou el primer poblament del Lluçanès i el que li donà nom. La principal activitat econòmica és l’agricultura de secà: cereals d’hivern, farratge i patates. També hi té lloc la ramaderia de boví, oví i porcí. I la indústria tèxtil.
Per arribar-hi s’hi pot anar per la E-9 (C16) direcció Túnel del Cadí fins a Navàs. Agafar la BV-4401 fins a Prats de Lluçanès i la BV-4341 fins a Lluçà.
De Lluçà cal destacar el monestir fundat al segle XII, al costat de l’església de Santa Maria de Lluçà, consagrada el segle X, d’una sola nau, coberta amb volta apuntada. I el Castell de Lluçà i la Capella de Sant Vicenç, situats a 893 metres, al capdamunt d’un turó. El castell és en ruïnes i la capella aixecada el segle XI amb estil romànic i amb planta circular, està restaurada. És l’indret més estratègic de la comarca, ja que si domina pràcticament tot el Lluçanès. Des d’aquest punt i amb una curta passejada arribarem al nostre objectiu.

This is the first geocache of subcounty of Lluçanès, in the Lluçà township, wich has 53,54 km2 of area, is the second most extensive township. It is between Lluçanès and Merlès river. Nowadays, it only has 250 habitants. The origin of its name is because Lluçà was the first town of its region. The bigger economy activity is the agriculture of dry farming and bovine, sheep and pigs livestock, and the textile fibrous industry.
You can got it by E-9 (C16) road, towards Túnel of Cadí to Navàs. Take BV-4401 road to Prats de Lluçanès and the BV-4341 to Lluçà.
The most important monuments are the monastery dated in XII century, near Santa Maria de Lluçà church, dated in X century. And the Lluçà castle and the Sant Vicenç Chapel, at 893 meters, in the top of a mountain where you can observe all the Lluçanès. Starting here a short walk we can reach immediately our objective.
