in our disclaimer.
A walk along well formed paths, taking a little over an hour will get you to this cache situated in the Tawharanui Regional Park, 1.5 hours drive north from Auckland. The views are a great reward.
Make a day of it, take a picnic and swimming gear, or better, book with the regional council and and stay a few days in the beautiful (basic) camping areas. A two and a quarter hours return walk is possible but there are several alternative walks and loop tracks that can easily double this time.
The cache is close to a cliff edge but please, you do not need to go over the edge or climb down at all.
The cache container is a camo-painted 300 ml plastic jar and when placed contained:
A set of dice
Some tap washers
A smiley faced fridge magnet
A Kokopu fridge magnet
A pencil sharpener
A kiwi 2 cent coin
Cache suitable for children of 8 years or so but they must be supervised when near the cache position as the cliff edge is very close.
Please secure the cache back in place as the area is subject to high winds which might dislodge it otherwise
