Sandra Pond is the town reservoir for Westborough. The area is very popular with fishermen, hikers and dog walkers. The pond tends to get pretty low in the summer months as it was dug by hand in the 1800s and is very shallow. During summers of very dry weather, it appears that you could walk across the pond (which you can't).
This cache is another in a series of caches along the Westborough Charm Bracelet trail system. The Charm Bracelet is a "loop" trail around Westborough that connects various parcels of open space (the Charms). The Bowman Conservation Area is one of the charms. (visit link) When complete the Charm Bracelet will be close to 30 miles long.
Check out the bookmark for Westborough Charm Bracelet Caches for a listing. Be sure to visit those areas as well.
