Geocache Description:


An easy cache dedicated to Fremont's Sister Cities.
  • Puerto Penasco, Mexico
  • Fukaya, Japan
  • Horta, The Azores, Portugal
  • Lipa City, Philippines
  • Jaipur, India

Along with the usual trinkets, there is a booklet describing the cities. If the booklet is missing, please notify the cache owner.

Wheelchair, stroller, kid and dog friendly. The area of the cache is very busy, and it could take you much longer to retrieve the cache than to find it. I recommend standing around until the nearby bench clears. Take your time, it's a nice place to linger. Please cover the cache container completely when rehiding. Leaving travel bugs is not advised.

Note: I have found that many experienced cachers try to drive as close as possible to the cache. They wind up taking a dirty, muddy, sticker-y shortcut to the cache. I very much recommend that you park in the normal Lake Elizabeth parking lot (near the webcam cache) and follow the paved trail to the cache site. It is much more pleasant that way.
