GROUND ZERO Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of for the Ground Zero to find out about the status of this cache on April 12, 2010. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.

I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The coordinates are above are NOT the location of the cache. They are a meaningless location in Littleton, MA, which is the town to which you will be traveling.

One of the benefits of membership in geocaching.com is that you have the option of receiving notification of new caches in your area. Among other things, this information includes the distance to those new caches. In order to calculate these distances, geocaching.com has established baseline coordinates in each city/town from which to make these measurements. To find this cache you must find the baseline coordinates for Littleton, MA. The cache itself is a brown pill container hidden at the site. It is not visible but it can be found. It contains a small log, pencils and some coins.

Please sign the log and trade coins only (quarter size or smaller). I would rather have you TNLNSL than overfill the container. Be discrete! The difficulty level for this cache is either a one star or a five star depending on what method you use. I split the difference when I determined the rating. Please do not mention how you found these coordinates in your log even if encrypted. Let’s spread the fun (or the anguish) around!

Thanks D and G for the essential idea for this cache!

Important Update 6/24/08 I have received a number of emails with ways to get the correct coordinates that I never imagined! However there are also many ways (including the traditional one) to get incorrect ones as well. Use the following checksum to be sure yours are right: The seven digits of the North should add up to 21 and the seven digits of the West should total 26!
