Taheke Reserve Cache

This cache is in a snaplock cameo painted container as is placed on the "Loop" walking track which is well marked in the Taheke Reserve east of Whangarei. The reserve contains many types of native trees, ferns and lichens. Keep an eye out for the native wood pigeons. You will also pass the Taheke Falls. Allow at least 1hr 30min return.

Though you will loose GPS reception in many places I got a 6 metre accuracy reading at the cache site with a Garmin Etrex. The cache is hidden at the side of the track. (see hint)
Cache contains various swap items and a log book. The photo is taken from the cache area. 

Since this is a kiwi area no dogs are allowed.
