Geocache Description:

We have found two caches within the Regency Park corporate development area located near the same body of water. We wanted to offer a challenging alternative within the same Regency Park area for the cachers out there who enjoy a little physical exercise with their mental diversions. Here with our second cache hide we hope to have achieved our goal.

The attraction of this cache is the great view that one has from the cache hide and its surroundings. Here in the midst of urban structures one finds a really nice natural view juxtaposed over an unusually colorful man-made prism. To commemorate this cache, we are launching its namesake “Rainbow Mist Doubloon” geocoin in another local cache.

We have used a half-width ammo box as our container on this one. We made no clever modifications this time. You will have a tough enough time just reaching the cache, we do not want you to spend all day finding it once there. The cache can be accessed at any time, but is best experienced on a warm, bright day. We think between 2 and 4PM may be ideal.

After receiving some feedback on this cache we have since raised the difficulty from level 2 to level 3 The cache has been initially stashed with Hilda’s Rott’n Friends travel bug, a large Easter Egg (for the season), a nice electric back massager from The Sharper Image® (which you may need), a CD describing online degrees from the University Alliance, another CD of Looping Yo-Yo tricks from Duncan, several very powerful magnets, a Mickey Mouse bar of soap, matching salt and pepper shakers, a stopwatch with lap counter, a lizard bola tie, a Stars & Stripes Paddleball, A Jimmy Neutron Intergalactic Message Notepad, Herbal Bath Grains (which you may also need), a “Work” cassette from the Book of Virtues, Stitch Stuff Play-Doh, a GI Joe wrist lanyard, a piece of aquarium coral, a small bathtub boat (could be helpful for the stream), a floral broach pin, two Executive Excellence audio tapes, a stuffed Triceratops that roars at you and several miscellaneous children’s toys.

There are two ways of reaching this cache. One way requires a lengthy hike along a little known mountain bike and motocross trail, where parking nearby could be a problem. If you are into motocross or mountain biking, you may follow your source of power along route #1 to an amazing afternoon of cycling, ending in a trip to our cache. The cache is not on the trail, but the trail will get you near it.

For the wheel-less adventure seekers we recommend parking in the ample spaces provided at the second set of corporate offices in Regency Park (right on Regency Forest) and taking an afternoon stroll around this little known pond. You may occasionally see ducks and geese or other walkers during a lunchtime visit. Follow your GPS when the trail dips and not before (unless you really like blazing new vistas).

NOTE: This is not a lunchtime hike unless you are not planning to go back to work after lunch. You will in all likelihood get grimy finding this cache.

If you choose to cross water during your visit, be careful. The waterways nearby are shallow but few convenient means are around to cross them. Avoid leaps of faith, as I landed flat on my back in eight inches of water attempting my own Spiderman crossing when I was exploring the surroundings. The area is safe, but we are not all superheroes.

As always, please rehide the cache where you found it so that the next cacher may enjoy the journey.

We hope you enjoy our second cache hide.
