Geocache Description:

This cache is my first effort on bringing more geocache on the West side of Union City. There are many cache in Union City / Fremont, but they are mainly on the East Side of the Highway 880 (excluding Coyote Hills). I tought it would be nice to have more cache on this West side! If this experience is succesfull, I'll add at least two more in the near future in that same area.

This cache is located on a section of Union City Trail. This place is a good example of a "tag domino effect": when walls get tagged, it should be covered up and cleaned up ASAP, not to encourage more taggers to practice.

In this particular case, it hasn't been done, and the whole place is filled with tags. Some graffiti can be pretty, but I didn't find any "nice" ones in this place. And that's too bad because that trail section could be nice, but it just looks kind of bad right now.

Anyway, Groundspeak is sponsoring some "Cache In Trash Out" events, so maybe one day they could sponsor a "Cache In Tag Out" event?

Unless you're a local, parking may not be obvious. Also I would recommend cachers (specially if you are by yourself) to come here before dusk since it is obvious this place gets filled with taggers and DXers on the night.

The cache is a regular size container about 0.6' x 0.6' x 0.5' and it contains, among many other things, a pen but I strongly recommend to bring with you a Swiss Army or Leatherman-style knife. (You'll understand once you find it)

You'll also find a camera, so please take a picture (of you or any tags you may like) and let me know when it's full.

Please close carrefully the cache for waterproofing, put it back where it was and note if you endup with different coordinates than me.
