Please leave ONLY cache-to-cache travelers (Travel bugs,
Geocoins). Any traveler arriving at a Stargate TB Cache is
transported via wormhole to any other operational Stargate TB Cache
for eventual pickup (please check the destination Stargate's web
page before transport). For the most up-to-date listing of known
Stargates, go to: Stargate
P4079 (Western PA).
TBs traveling overseas, or to other countries, may require
multiple wormhole trips to intermediate Stargates to complete their
mission. Additionally, a Zero Point Module (ZPM) may be required.
Logistics to arrange multiple trips and/or to secure a ZPM may take
several weeks or more. If the TB’s Commanding Officer (i.e., owner)
does not want the TB to volunteer for such a lengthy, long-distance
mission, just quickly contact the owner of originating Stargate TB
Cache and they will revoke the TB’s travel orders - and reassign
the TB to local support duties (i.e., redirect the TB to local
caches).
TBs that are left in the departure lounge at this cache with a
valid Stargate address in the online log will be transported to the
specified Stargate TB Cache (for example: if “P3898” is included in
the online log entry or on a physical note attached to the TB, that
TB will disappear from this cache and soon after will appear at the
Stargate P3898 TB Cache). Space permitting, visiting Travel Bugs
are always welcome in the arrivals lounge. Please read the log
carefully and pick up only arriving Travel Bugs. That is, if
you find a TB in the departure lounge waiting for transport to
another Stargate TB Cache, please leave it alone.
Anyone interested in establishing a Stargate TB Cache that’s at
least 500 miles from any other Stargate TB Cache please contact
drossdross (owner of Stargate P4079 TB Cache).
The listed coordinates are at one corner of a small parking lot
where you’ll start your search (there are numerous alternative
places to park). Each waypoint needs a correction factor (Muggles
that find interim waypoints will go to an incorrect place, but
savvy GeoCachers know how to apply the appropriate correction
factor (CF) and get the right coordinates). For example, the first
waypoint is found by taking the coordinates listed above and
applying CF-A. You should never leave the grounds of the park,
and should never end up on private property if the Correction
Factors are applied correctly. Not all corrections are in
the northwest direction. The stargate is in a standard (approx
3"x7"x10") Ammo box.
If you have difficulty finding a waypoint, please log an entry
and/or send email to the cache owner.
The park closes at 10:00pm. Dogs must be on leashes
Correction Factors:
- CF-A (North-West) 0.066 0.028
- CF-B (South-East) 0.166 0.100
- CF-C (North-East) 0.022 0.073
- CF-D (North-West) 0.130 0.292
