Geocache Description:

The terrain is somewhat rough. For now, the paths are easy to walk upon. There is minimal bushwacking involved and no stone walls to tear apart.

On Federal Hill Road in Hollis, NH, there is a peaceful clearing in the woods that is encircled by pines. On a beautiful day, Birch Hill Brook can be heard trickling nearby. Remains of the historic Bailey Mill are visible on the site, and a miniature waterfall flows around the mill's former foundation. The Annabelle Johnson Preserve was donated to the town of Hollis and dedicated to the namesake April, 2004. According to the family, Ms. Johnson would want people to get out of their cars and walk around and get to know the history of the property.
