This cache can be approached from two directions (sharing the same trail head off of Mountain Rd): the first is shorter, but more harrowing (think The Stairs of Cirith Ungol); the other, longer, but 'safer'. Either will eventually bring you to her lair.
There is nice parking at the trailhead a ways down Mountain Street from town of Island Pond.. The trail is very well marked and maintained. It is about a mile hike to the trail junction-about the last 0.2 mikes of this is a gently downhill drop of about 150 feet.
