DO NOT BUSHWACK!!!! Please park at the Taylor Mill and Ballard State Forest parking area. Take short path to logging trail IF IT IS OVER GROWN, WALK DOWN ROAD ISLAND POND ROAD AWAY FROM THE MILL 20 yards!(south west of lot)to main trail **NEW NOTE** MUST TAKE TRAIL TO GET CREDIT FOR THIS FIND**FOLLOW DIRECTIONS, LEAVE NO TRACE PROTECT OUR PLANTS**
On every other Saturday there is a free demonstration of how this working saw mill works. Bring the kids for this great learning experience and say hi to Bob and Ed, residents of this property. I had a pleasure meeting Ed the other day while checking out the cache. We exchanged stories while my son learned about the differences of axes. I told him about geocaching and he said he noticed people with GPS's so he knew something was up.
I released this cache very close to our new home in Derry! This is a great spot to hike and fish, we hope you enjoy this area like we plan to! Our GPS showed 50' accuracy because of cloud cover and tree cover. Wear DEET, please park at the Taylor Mill lot, the trail head is used to get logs to the mill. Please respect the caretakers of this property and cache in daylight only. Thanks!
