Geocache Description:

Located in Bong Rec. Area north of Hwy. BB. Park in parking area and do the loop as you find several easy micros containing laminated strips with coordinates that eventually lead to the final, a camo covered plastic container. Reception for the final is poor when the trees have leaves, so the conainer is easy to see once your in the vicinity. The whole loop is about 2.5 miles. Pretty easy hike, but bring water in the summer.

You don't have to read this silly little story to do this easy multi, but it does offer vague hints for each micro. Four very easy micros, and a final.

Squeeky Squirrel was in need of a new home as hers had been blown down in the terrible rains of May 2004. She had no time to waste. She was a busy squirrel. She had nuts to gather, birds' nests to raid, and her biological clock was ticking. She decided to go see Rocky the Realtor Raccoon to speed her search. She wanted a tree with a nice view.

FIRST Rocky showed her to N 42*39.427, W 088*07.616. It was not what she was looking for.

They traveled on a bit further to a spot Rocky was sure Squeeky would like, but along the way, they had to stop for a rest. As they were resting, Rocky picked a wild flower for Squeeky. She scolded him and told him there was a fine for picking and she would report him if he did it again. She wanted to get going to see her next possible home.

A little further down the trail Rocky pointed out a great housing complex for many woodland creatures. She could see it looming in the distance, and was eager to check it out. It was perfect. There would be many neighbors, and some bachelors as well. The penthouse was available, the view spectacular. As Rocky guided her to the top he told her she had beautiful, bulging, brown eyes. She squinched her eyes to slits and glared at him. She was ready to just take this overly priced condo just to get rid of Rocky, but on the way back down one of the neighbors reminded Rocky of the Association meeting that night, in the common area. "You live here?" squeaked Squeeky. "Yeah, baby, we could be neighbors and live the high life together!" replied Rocky. Close call thought Squeeky. "Let's see what else you have to show me, I don't have all day." and off they went.

Rocky was slightly put off now, and next took her to a small, lonely, long abandoned, dumpy, shack.

(Updated June 2005: This shack has been condemned and is no longer available for showing. You will now be directed to skip this waypoint and the last set of coordinates will take you directly to the next ((easy)) waypoint.)

You've got to be kidding was all Squeeky could think, but she didn't have time to make him any more mad. "Let's go," was all she said. He put his arm around her soft furry shoulder. "How about stopping for a cup of coffee at the Nut Café," he whispered in her ear. Squeeky shrugged him off. She usually liked raccoons, but he was certainly as dense as a walnut. She just wanted to get back where they had started and she would show him. She had a favor to pull in from the Good Fairy for narking on Little Bunny Foo Foo. "Let's go," she said again, her mind spinning with ideas for the Good Fairy.

We're almost back thought Squeeky as Rocky took her through one more, slightly larger place, but still not to her liking.

She had just about had it, when he promised that this last one would be ideal for her. He started to guide her off the main trail to an area she had seldom been before. Her heart began to race, but just as she was about to turn back to the trail the sparkling of the Good Fairy's crown and wand caught her eye. The Good Fairy flew over to Rocky and Squeeky and asked what they were doing in the neighborhood. Through her fairy sensibilities, she could sense the squirrel's disgust with Rocky . She knew instantly that her favor was going to be called in. She summoned all her fairy strength and beat her wings furiously a few times to get her adrenaline going. Rocky said, "I just love fairies, Can I make a wish?" Both women were dumbfounded. "POOF!" The Good Fairy waved her magic wand. Rocky was transformed into a tree. Again both women were dumbfounded. "Why didn't he turn into a goon, like Little Bunny Foo Foo?" asked Squeeky. "I guess he already was a goon," replied the fairy. "Actually, he makes a pretty good tree." He was such a grand tree that Squeeky and the Good Fairy moved in, and sold the rest as prime real estate. Some bachelors even moved in. They rejuvenated the entire area, and lived happily ever after.

The final used to be shoved up a great hollow tree, but bees took over the spot, and hence the move to the other side of the tracks. We could say that Squeeky took on more debt than she could handle during the real estate boom, had to file bankruptcy, and moved to a less desirable neighborhood.
