Be your own GPS Mystery Cache

Denne cache overlader noget af det arbejde en GPS gør til dig. Du er nødt til at tænke som en GPS. Jeg har dog givet denne en lavere sværhedsgrad end de 2 andre for det er åbenbart ikke så svært alligevel!

Du skal besøge flg. 3 ”satellitter" i området:

Byttetings kirkegården

Zoolook memorial (find den men brug start position som reference)

Animal farm (slut position som reference)

I bunden af hver af disse bokse er der skrevet et tal, som angiver hvor langt der er til denne cache i meter. For zoolook memorials vedkommende skal du måle fra startpunket (N 56° 07.791 E 010° 12.511) og ikke fra selve cachen!

Opgaven kan løses på flere måder, enten ved at du regner dig frem til nogle koordinater (pas på med de forskellige dataformater), eller ved at du bevæger dig rundt i området og måler afstanden til de 3 poster til du står det rigtige sted (se ”Example” billedet nedenfor).

Du kan måske klare dig med 2 sattelitter, men så kan du komme til at lede 2 steder! På samme måde som din GPS bliver mere nøjagtig når du ser flere sattelitter, så bliver det også mere nøjagtigt når du har 3.

Stachen er en 1-liter boks som er pakket i en plasticpose. Den er godt gemt på en skråning i en stor gammel stub.

The position above is not valid!

This cache leaves some of the work a GPS does for you. You have to think like a GPSr. This cache is inspired by the following two caches: Geo-Stationery Cache (Where You Are the GPSr) and The Cache Where YOU Are the GPS. I gave this a lower difficulty rating than those as it does not seem to be so difficult after all.

You have to visit the following 3 “satellites” in the area:

• Byttetings kirkegården
• Zoolook memorial (complete the cache but use the starting point as referece)
• Animal farm (final position)

In the bottom of these boxes a number is written, which will tell the distance to this cache in meters. For Zoolook memorial you have to use the starting point (N 56° 07.791 E 010° 12.511) as reference and not the final position.

The task can be solve in several ways, either by math and geometry (watch out for the different datum-formats), or you may solve this by moving around in the area and measure the distance to the 3 satellites until you are at the right spot (the the “Example” image below). You may solve this using only two sattelites but that would leave you with 2 places to search. As your GPSr becomes more accurate the more sattelites it sees, the accuracy to find this will increace having all 3 "sattelites"!

The stash is a 1-litre box wrapped in a plastic bag. It is well hidden in a huge old stump of a tree.
